New VQ54 goes to Barbados

VQ Yachts was recently commissioned to build a second VQ54. This yacht will be built entirely according to the specifications of her owner and delivered in August. Her home base will be at the Port St Charles Yacht Club in Barbados. As only the second VQ yacht in the Caribbean to date, she is sure to cut a striking figure in her new home.

The VQ54 will, of course, be entirely adapted to her owner’s exact wishes. This includes an electrical system which suitable for a 110 volts, as well as features like a special cooler for wine bottles and an ice machine. The colour combinations are still being discussed with the client.

The new yacht will be powered by surface drives, allowing her to attain an impressive 45+ knots. The MAN i6-800 in-line six-cylinder engines deployed in this boat won the international Red Dot award 2016 for their excellent design. For added fun and functionality, this VQ54 will have her own tender bay which can easily accommodate a fast Williams 285 Turbojet. Easy accessibility is assured as the door of the garage opens aft.
