The iconic canals of Amsterdam have been a source of pleasure for ice skaters for many hundreds of years. The unique images this produces were immortalised by famous Dutch painters from the 16th century onwards.
Last week the Dutch capital’s canals and other waterways in the Netherlands were frozen for the first time in a number of years, offering some great opportunities for photographers to capture and share with the world.
