We received many positive comments about the first designs of the VQ90, which were initially made to tease potential clients. This excellent feedback has motivated us to take the design to the next stage.
Guido de Groot and his team examined the exterior profile to ensure that the silhouette clearly resembles the new VQ48. In this they have certainly succeeded. At the same time, the design of the VQ90 Veloce is characterised by a large open deck plan providing the best possible setting for al fresco entertainment with many people – also at very high speeds. An awesome sound system will be custom fitted and adapted to the specific characteristics of the boat and the owners’ personal wishes, which would be at home in one of Ibiza’s legendary clubs. And to optimise climate control, the Veloce will be equipped with a spectacular panorama hardtop with a targa sunroof.

While all VQ yachts stand out for their powerful performance, striking appearance and high degree of comfort, the VQ90 Veloce is designed to also retain those properties at speeds of up to 55 knots. This makes it one of the ten swiftest superyachts in the world (the word veloce is, in fact, Italian for ‘fast’).

Our clients are, without exception, demanding, independent individualists who are always on the lookout for extravagant and revolutionary designs that provide extreme performances. This breakneck speed of 55 knots or more will be realised by three MTU 16V 2000 engines and Arneson surface drives.
At VQ Yachts we have an incredible amount of flexibility in building yachts, which allows us to fully customise the interior. To give an idea of the range of possibilities, we have devised four general interior layouts for the VQ90 with room for eight or ten guests. And to ensure that you receive the comfort you expect, we are working together with the finest suppliers of acoustic insulation in the world. For this model, too, the design, layout and equipment in the galley will be taken care of by top chef René Schudel. This stunning new superyacht will also feature a wide range of innovations that reflect the trailblazing mentality of VQ Yachts owner Tom Steentjes.
The VQ90 will also be available with engines that are somewhat less ambitious: they will provide a still-impressive top speed in excess of 40 knots, very much in the appropriate range for the sleek design.
