In the previous Update we announced our planned move to our impressive new premises. This took place smoothly in January, which means that Vanquish Yachts …
… now occupies a larger location at Expansie 15 in Marknesse. The strong growth of the business, increased scope of the order portfolio and rise in the average length of our yachts were key reasons for moving to a larger site. We now have over 4000 m² of indoor facilities, a large area in which to work outdoors, and a direct connection to the Ketelmeer lake, where many of our in-water trials can be carried out. The construction halls are fitted with state-of-the-art equipment and we also have:
- Plenty of office space, including a luxury reception for clients
- Large cafeteria for our staff
- Separate offices and cafeteria for project managers and subcontractors
- A spacious indoor warehouse
- Lots of room for machinery and work preparation departments
- A crane capacity up to 50 tonnes
- Plenty of internal lifting facilities/overhead cranes
- Parking space for all staff and subcontractors
Marknesse is situated just over an hour’s drive from the international hub of Schiphol Amsterdam while the local Lelystad Airport is half an hour away. The move has come about at exactly the right time: with the number of orders growing steadily, the newly available space is already being put to excellent use.
