The brand new VQ48 was presented on 25 June during an introduction party in St Tropez.
This prestigious event was attended by people who had previously shown interest in this latest design by Guido de Groot. And it did not disappoint. The consensus among the 60 or so guests present at Plage Canbane Bambou was that the VQ48 surpassed everyone’s expectations when seen in its natural habitat on the water. The sturdy design was universally loved and many of our guests made good use of the chance to go for a serious test drive.
The boat’s white colour with brown/orange trim is a wonderful combination on the azure of the Med, with the bright colours making this V48 highly visible. But the VQ Yachts team knows that great looks alone won’t convince the demanding individuals who are the target group for this boat. We were pleased therefore that the rough seas on the day of the presentation ensured that the VQ48’s impressive sailing characteristics and high level of comfort could truly come into their own. The smart underwater hull design ensured that the guests on board remained completely dry even at speeds in excess of 40 knots.
VQ Yachts is now in talks with three potential new owners, one of whom is interested in a VQ48 Veloce, the extra fast version which can sail at speeds in excess of 50 knots.
