This month we are finishing work on the newly developed and totally fabulous VQ52 T-Top, which will soon be making its way to the island of Ibiza. This yacht has been fully custom built for a repeat client who very much enjoyed his previous Vanquish but was now looking to go larger. The project serves as a superb example of how the phenomenal flexibility of aluminium can be utilised to meet the most wide-ranging ideas for creative clients.
The owner of this VQ52 T-Top client specifically requested a longer bowsprit so we extended the nose by three feet. This created space to place a large U-shaped sofa on the foredeck. As you can see, these extended lines give the yacht an extra slim and sporty appearance.
The interior design and Italian style were also developed in close cooperation with the client who is an expert in all types of awnings. He has included many original features (including in the galley) and some unique fabrics. Engine-wise, this new VQ52 T-Top is equipped with 2 x 600HP Cummins engines with Pod drives including joystick controls with skyhook.
